UK Schools Director appointed for Bellevue Education

Posted on: 16 Oct 2013

Bellevue Education is delighted to announce the appointment of Steven Wade as UK Schools Director.

Educated at Millfield School in Somerset, Steven comes from a teaching family and with over 20 years’ experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. In 2003, Steven became Assistant Head at Thamesmead School in Shepperton, where his responsibilities included IT strategy, learning and enrichment and community development, and in 2005 he went on to become Head at Gateway School, having completed an MA in Leadership and Management.   Steven spent eight years at Gateway, before taking up his new role at Bellevue this summer.

As UK Schools Director, Steven will support head teachers and their staff, allowing them to focus entirely on learning and development outcomes and instilling in every child a lasting love of learning.  He will be responsible for ensuring that each school has clear structures in place for compliance and regulation as well as monitoring, supporting and celebrating pupil progress and developing teaching staff.

Steven is very much looking forward to encouraging positive links between all of the UK schools within the group. “This is an exciting role to be in at a time of significant and rapid change in the education landscape in the UK,’ he said. “Having worked within the Bellevue group for some time, I am aware of the many and multifaceted talents and strengths of the people who work in each of the schools.

I am committed to delivering an education which enables every child to reach its full potential. I am sure that by working together towards this goal, the schools within the Bellevue group can make a true and lasting difference to the lives of the children that we teach.”

Commenting on Steven’s appointment, Mark Malley, Chief Executive of Bellevue Education, said: “I am delighted that Steven has taken on this new role at Bellevue. I have witnessed first hand his passion for and commitment to education and I know that our schools will benefit hugely from his support and expertise.”
