The Oratory Prep School joins Bellevue Education

News

Bellevue Education is delighted to welcome a new school to the group. This now takes the group to 19 schools within the UK in addition to the two schools in Continental Europe.

The Oratory Prep School, set within 65 acres of Oxfordshire countryside near Goring Heath, South Oxfordshire, provides an enriched education to around 400 boys and girls aged 2 to 13.  The original Oratory School was founded in Edgbaston, Birmingham “for the education of (Catholic) boys not destined to the ecclesiastical estate”, and by 1922 had moved the Caversham Park near Reading. The Prep School then had several homes before settling in its current site in Crays Pond in 1968.

Commenting on joining the group, Headmaster of OPS Rob Stewart said, “I am delighted that the OPS will be joining the Bellevue Education group of schools; I am very excited about the opportunities such a partnership will bring, for all members of the OPS family. In joining the Bellevue group of schools, we will be able to share ideas and best practice with the other schools within the group, and both contribute to and benefit from the group’s experience and vision. Our ethos and educational approach which are so dear to us sit brilliantly with Bellevue’s approach and I believe we can look forward to an exciting future for all pupils, parents and staff at the OPS.”

Mark Malley, CEO of Bellevue Education, said: “I am delighted to welcome the OPS to the Bellevue groups of schools. From my first visit to the school I was certain that the OPS would be a natural fit to the Bellevue group; we pride ourselves on working with schools, who, like us, are committed to providing an excellent educational environment that offers the highest possible outcomes for our pupils, and that challenges, nurtures, excites and involves each of them every day. OPS is a wonderful addition to our family of schools and I very much look forward to working with Rob and his dedicated team.”
