Surval Montreux - ‘An Exceptional School’

Posted on: 18 Dec 2015

Mrs Penelope Penney and her team at Surval Montreux are delighted to announce that following a one week Review in October this year by the team from AdvancED (a global improvement and accreditation provider for 32’000 institutions worldwide offering the High School program), the school received excellent feedback on all aspects of the school and was designated as having ‘Powerful Practice’ in three areas: teaching and learning, purpose and direction, and support systems.

The Review report concluded that, “The Team found Surval Montreux to be an exceptional school on many levels, from the powerful culture of caring, the focus on the whole child, its commitment to improvement, and the very well-managed daily operations. Teachers, administrators, pastoral staff, support staff, and students at Surval are all committed to the school in ways that permeate the learning environment and culture of the school. It was difficult to imagine a more comprehensive and supportive environment than that offered by the school.”

The External Review Team has recommended to the AdvancED Accreditation Commission that Surval Montreux earn the distinction of accreditation by AdvancED for a five-year term that expires June 30, 2021.

Mrs Penney commented, “This is one of the moments to celebrate Surval’s accomplishments. It is exciting and inspiring that such a highly qualified team of evaluators genuinely recognised the uniqueness of Surval, and all that we are currently doing to make it the international school of choice for girls”.
