ISI inspection sends Brabyns Preparatory School to top of the class

Posted on: 20 Jul 2017

Pupils, staff and parents at Brabyns Preparatory School in Marple are celebrating, after receiving the best results possible in their latest inspection.

The co-educational, independent school underwent an integrated educational quality and focused compliance inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), in June. ISI Inspectors operate under the Ofsted framework, approved by the Department for Education.

According to the report’s key findings, “the quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent” and “the quality of the pupils’ personal development is excellent.”

This is the highest grade a school can be awarded under the ISI Inspection scheme.

Extracts from the report include the following:

The report also praises the School’s "calm environment where all pupils can flourish”, the  “rich curricular and extra-curricular offerings”, and describes the social development of pupils as “outstanding."

Brabyns Prep School currently has 123 pupils and welcomes children from the ages of two to 11 years.

Headteacher, Lee Sanders, was delighted with the results of the recent inspection.

"We are thrilled with the results of our latest ISI inspection, which is a true testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of all our staff and pupils.

We are committed to working in partnership with parents to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that enables every child to flourish, and I am delighted that this is reflected in the inspector’s comments."
