Ealing Independent College celebrates another year of strong A-Level results

Posted on: 23 Aug 2016

Last year Ealing Independent College was at the top of the rankings amongst both independent and state schools in West London in producing top grades, and this year’s results does not disappoint. 21% of the grades awarded today were AAB or higher in facilitating subjects, with as many as 44% of students achieving A*/A in Chemistry and 30% achieving A*/A in Biology. This is far ahead of what most other schools and colleges across West London have achieved over the last couple of years, and cements Ealing Independent College’s position as a leading independent college with a consistent track record of helping students achieve excellent exam results. Almost 60% of grades awarded were B or better in line with the strong results last year, and 99.3% of all students across the College achieved A* to E and passed their exams.

The College has for the last couple of years had an outstanding value added score ranging between +0.24 to +0.28, and will be likely to improve further again this year once the final results are known after remarks. Particularly gratifying are some exceptional performances by the intensive year students who re-sat their A-Levels - this will undoubtedly keep the College’s position in the Government’ League Tables as one of the top colleges in helping students improve their grades.

Principal, Dr Ian Moores, said; “I am delighted to report that it has been another great year for Ealing with many outstanding value added scores for those re-sitting their A-Levels. The College shows consistently strong results year on year which places it as one of the top Colleges of its type, and I believe that the approach we take and the learning environment we provide at the College enable our students to reach their true potential”.
