Bellevue Swimmers’ Success at ISA National Swimming Final

Posted on: 17 Dec 2018

Pupils from three of Bellevue’s UK Preparatory Schools have achieved a haul of 10 medals in the Independent Schools Association (ISA) National Swimming Competition, held at the London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, on Saturday 1 December.

A total of nine children, all aged between eight and 11, from Forest Park Preparatory School and Forest Preparatory School in Greater Manchester, and Elmhurst School for Boys in South Croydon, were selected to represent the National teams following qualification through the Regional Finals.

Cheered on by proud parents, families, and friends, the young swimmers took to the Olympic pool in front of around 3,000 spectators.

Against fierce competition from independent schools from across the country, the children were awarded 10 medals:

“It was a truly amazing day and a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to compete at this level and to swim in the Olympic pool. The children were all so calm in front of such a large audience and we are very proud of them all.”
