Bellevue Education welcomes a new school to the group

Posted on: 10 Aug 2017

Nestled in 23 acres of captivating woodland on the outskirts of Oxford, Bruern Abbey School is the fifteenth school to join the group and is the only school in the country to cater exclusively for boys diagnosed with learning difficulties for Common Entrance and other entrance examinations to mainstream independent senior schools.

Founded in 1989, the school has an excellent reputation for providing a truly unique learning experience for the boys in its care, attracting interest and reviews from organisations such as The Good Schools Guide, as well as being awarded Tatler's "Prep School of the Year" award in 2015.

Commenting on joining the group, John Floyd, the school’s Headmaster, said:

“Bruern Abbey School has been a standalone prep school for all of its fledgling 28 years of its existence and therefore is delighted to be joining a larger family of schools. The alliance with Bellevue was after much careful consideration and it is testament to Bellevue’s patient and listening stance that we have forged this partnership.

We’re delighted to be joining such an exciting and growing team at Bellevue and look forward to working with the schools over the coming years.”

Mark Malley, CEO of Bellevue Education, said: Bruern Abbey is a truly world class school that provides a unique educational experience and I am delighted to welcome it to the Bellevue group of schools. Bellevue prides itself on offering breadth of education within a warm, nurturing environment and Bruern is a great addition to our family."
